Veneto Hidden Corners: the last kite of Jesolo

For the weekly column “Veneto Hidden Corners”, the photographer Giovanni Vecchiato gives us exclusively for VS a shot dedicated to the top hidden beauties of Veneto.

This week’s shot is dedicated to Jesolo. For several years in summer, the beaches of Veneto have been traversed by kite sellers: anyone looking at them can easily be fascinated by the scenic choice of holding them by putting them in a row. What was missing was to reveal the most curious aspect, that is what the point of view of the last summer kite could be. This photo was, in fact, taken at the end of September 2019 with an absolutely deserted beach (and the seller’s consent).

“A deep passion for reportage, Giovanni Vecchiato has worked as a portrait photographer in the entertainment industry in London where he recently set up the “View my eye” exhibition, documenting the most suggestive places in Italy through the art of aerial photography, work also published by the National Geographic”.
