Ai Tre Garofani (VE)
With a magnificent ancient grapevine embracing the facade and a welcoming country-chic atmosphere, Ai Tre Garofani is a real treat outside the common routes. Born from a former “bacaro” in the Municipality of Asseggiano, a few kilometers from Venice, for over 40 years this restaurant has been renowned for a passionate family-run management which has made it an unmissable address for fish lovers. Managed by Renzo, who’s able to create fanciful menus revisiting tradition with creativity, Ai Tre Garofani has fully earned its annual presence in the Michelin Guide. The interior décor has been created by the owners themselves by choosing objects and fabrics capable of giving a distinctive personality to each room, mixing shabby furniture with country fabrics.
The super fresh fish is personally chosen by Renzo at the fish markets nearby to ensure his customers local high-quality raw materials. Do not miss the “risotto with go”, a rare recipe typical of the Venetian island of Burano, prepared using these delicate and tasty lagoon fishes. The choice of desserts is also excellent, strictly homemade, as well as the wine list can satisfy all needs.
Ai Tre Garofani is indeed a place where coming back for a special occasion or a simple dinner among friends, surrounded by that familiar feeling that can really win anyone over.
